FIFA Ballon d’Or Award Winners List since 2010

FIFA Ballon d’Or is an award which is held every year and it is awarded to the best player of previous year who performed well throughout that year. This award is only given to male football players by Federation International de Football Association (FIFA). The FIFA Ballon d’Or award started in 2010 year after merging the Men’s FIFA World Player of the Year and France Football’s Ballon d’Or.

Argentina’s Lionel Messi became the first football player to grab FIFA Ballon d’Or award in 2010 at Switzerland. Starting 4 FIFA Ballon d’Or awards were grabbed by Lionel Messi who is used to play for Barcelona club. Cristiano Ronaldo won 2013 and 2014 FIFA Ballon d’Or award by defeating Messi in the final race for awards.

The winner of FIFA Ballon d’Or is selected by the international football teams coach, captains and journalists from around the globe. Voting process takes place to select the winner. The latest 2015 FIFA Ballon d’Or award won by Lionel Messi for the fifth time.
