Novak Djokovic wins US Open 2015 title by defeating Federer

World Number 1 men’s tennis player Novak Djokovic has defeated world number 2 player Roger Federer to win 2015 US Open championships. This is Novak Djokovic’s second US Open crown and 10th major title. He won 2011 US Open tennis tournament by defeating Rafael Nadal.

Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer by 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 to claim the title. It was 42nd meet between Federer and Djokovic on tennis court and Roger was leading with 21-20 score but now the head to head score is equal. Federer was chasing his 18th career’s major and 6th US Open title in the final match on Sunday, but he failed to get it against more focused and energetic Serbian star.

After the match Federer said, “The whole American trip has been fantastic. Being back in the finals is where you want to be. I love the sport. I have a lot of passion. Last thing, I’ll see you guys next year.”

Djokovic said, “I have to share my admiration for Roger and everything he’s doing.”

This year has been fantastic for Novak Djokovic as he has won 4 masters 1000 titles and three Grand Slam titles. He believes that it has been better year for him than previous years. He’s mentioned that he is enjoying more as husband and father.

“I’m enjoying this year more than previous years because I’m a husband & father. Makes it even sweeter,” he added.
