Chinese mobile manufacturer Vivo has signed a 6-year partnership deal with International Football Association FIFA and it will be sponsoring 2018 and 2022 World Cup events in Russia and Qatar respectively. Vivo will also sponsor 2017 and 2021 FIFA Confederations Cup.
According to the signed agreement between two organizations, Vivo’s logo will appear on the advertising boards during the match, game tickets, media releases and other promotional platforms. Vivo Executive Vice-President Ni Xudong was present during the partnership announcement event in Beijing. He expresses the popularity of football game and was hopeful that Vivo will touch more heights during the tournaments.
He said, “Football is a sport full of passion and moments of wonder, creating happiness for millions of people. The spirit of football is about constant progress. As a global sponsor of the FIFA World Cup, Vivo hopes to strongly associate itself with the football spirit and show consumers all over the world Vivo’s creative, joyful and international brand image.”
“Vivo will bring more personalised, energetic and youthful elements to the FIFA World Cup experience and the game of football,” Xudong quoted.
During these world class football events, officials will seem to be using the Vivo smart phones. Vivo company will also manufacture special mobile that will give unique experience to football fans around the globe. McDonald’s, Budweiser and Hisense are the other sponsors of FIFA World Cup.
This is not the only occasion when Vivo will sponsor a sporting event. The company has already sponsored T20 cricket league IPL. Vivo also associates with NBA.
