70. First ever underarm ball

Australia’s Trevor Chappell bowled underarm for the first time in the history of cricket. He bowled underarm in an ODI match against New Zealand on 1 February, 1981. Brian McKechnie was the Kiwi batsman who faced first ever underarm ball.

Virender Sehwag’s highest scores in Tests, ODIs and Twenty20 are 319, 219 and 119. He scored 119 runs in IPL T20.

Mohinder Amarnath is the only Indian cricketer was dismissed for handling the ball and obstructing the field.

67. Woman power in men’s match

England women’s cricket team player Kate Cross became first woman to play in men’s Lancashire League. She made debut for Heywood Cricket club men’s first XI in which she took 3 wickets by spending just 19 runs in 7 overs.

65. Kiss on the field during test match

Abbas Ali Baig was first Indian cricketer to be kissed during a match. In 1960, India was hosting Australia and third test match of series was being played at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. As Abbas Ali completed half-century, a pretty young girl broke the security and ran towards the batsman. She greeted Abbas Ali and kissed him on cheek.

64. African Steyn Gun

Dale Steyn is the only bowler to take 5 wickets haul against all test playing nations.

63. 63 Not Out

Cricket Australia trademarked the “63 Not Out” phrase in the memory of cricketer Phillip Hughes who died in November 2014 after being struck with a bouncer during a Sheffield Shield match.

62. Siddle celebrated birthday by hat-trick

Peter Siddle is the only player who took hat-trick on his birthday. Siddle celebrates his birthday on 25 November every year and in 2010, England cricket team was on tour of Australia. In the first test and day 1 of Brisbane test, Peter Siddle took hat-trick as he dismissed Alistair Cook (67), Matt Prior (0) and Stuart Broad (0).

61. Cricketer got capital punishment

Leslie Hylton is the only cricketer who was hanged till death after his commitment to a murder. He was a West Indies cricketer.
