Afghanistan Premier League Teams, Squad for 2018 season

Afghanistan Cricket Board launched domestic twenty20 league “Afghanistan Premier League (APL)” few days back to provide young players a platform on which they get chance to play together with international cricketers. Players draft for first season took place on 10th September 2018 and five teams pick players to compete in the tournament.

Top international players like Chris Gayle, Shahid Afridi, Brendon McCullum and Andre Russell will be seen competing in APL T20 2018 for respective teams. At least 34 foreign players are set to rock Afghanistan Premier League’s inaugural edition.

APL T20 2018 Teams, Squads

Players from all over the world came into the players draft process for new t20 league and team owners chose cricketers from top playing nations as well. Pakistan (8), England (6), New Zealand (4), South Africa (3), Australia (2), Bangladesh (2), West Indies (2) and 1-1 player from each Sri Lanka and Ireland to feature in the first APLT20 season.

Five teams Balkh, Kabul, Kandahar, Nangarhar and Paktia to represent 5 Afghani cities in the competition.

The first season of Afghanistan Premier League T20 is scheduled to play between 5 and 23 October 2018.
