Australia beat UAE by 2-0 to enter Asian Cup 2015 final

Australia national football team has qualified for the final of AFC Asian Cup for the successive second time. They beat United Arab Emirates in the 2nd semifinal match by 2-0 played here at Newcastle Stadium. Socceroos will face Korea Republic in the final match of 2015 Asian Cup on 31 January at Stadium Australia in Sydney.

Socceroos played 2011 asian cup final as well in which they were beaten by Japan. This is the third appearance of Australian football team in the prestigious Asia tournament and they have performed well. This is going to be an excellent opportunity for Australia to win the AFC Asian cup as they are playing at the home for the first time and home support may help them too.

In played second semifinal match today, Trent Sainsbury scored the first goal for Socceroos in the very starting moments of the match. UAE players couldn’t hold their nerves for this big match and thy conceded first goal of the match in 3rd minute. Australian camp maintained their aggressiveness in the match and Jason Davidson strengthen the Socceroos lead in 14th minutes of match.

Davidson scored a wonderful goal to take Australian team lead in the match for 2-0. Now UAE was on back foot and tried hard to score the goals. But Socceroos defence was having much quality not to allow United Arab Emirates forwards to score the goal.

Australia will now play Asian Cup 2015 final against South Korea who defeated Iraq in the semifinal to get into final. Iraq and UAE will now play third place match on 30 January at Newcastle stadium.
