Qatar who is invited to participate in South American football competition Copa America, will be the team that every soccer fan to eye. All three Groups winner and runners-up will be playing quarter-final matches and two best teams from third place in Group A, B, C will qualify for knockout. Hence one math has to be won by Qatar to see themselves in the QFs.
Scenario 2: If Qatar manages to win two group matches out of three, they have real chance of qualifying into quarterfinals. The fact is as Qatar wins two games, they will certainly get 2nd place in the points table after group matches and team will enter in the knockout stage. But it is not going to be easy as Qatar have to defeat three previous Copa America champions Argentina (14 titles), Paraguay (2 titles) and Colombia (1 title).

Team’s star striker Almoez Ali is determined to perform well in the upcoming Copa America in Brazil. After claiming Asian Cup trophy, Ali said that team’s working towards the process of 2022 world cup and they’ve started it with Asian Cup and are focusing on South American soccer championship now.
“We are working on the target of the 2022 World Cup and we have started well with the Asian Cup. We managed to win [the Asian Cup title] and defeat Japan and for the next step towards the World Cup, we will be preparing for that with the Copa America in Brazil,” Ali said.
Almoez Ali scored nine goals in the Asian Cup and he’ll be crucial player for Qatar in upcoming big tournaments like Copa America and world cup. He is ready to learn more footballing skills from South America event. He said, “We don’t expect to get results but to learn more about football because we know the Copa America is one of the biggest tournaments in the world. The Copa America is different and we will learn a lot from that. As a team from the Gulf, that will help us to have a better performance in 2022,”

Qatar will play their first game of 2019 Copa America against Paraguay on 16 June meanwhile they face Colombia on 19 and Argentina on 23rd June.
