The quarter-final of UEFA Champions League first leg between Juventus and Monaco was ended at exciting thriller in which Juventus beat Monaco by 1-0. Arturo Vidal hit the winning goal for home team in the 57th minute of match through penalty.
Penalty that Juventus received, is still a doubtful decision but we can understand that it was a marginal call. Referee Pavel Kralovec can’t be blamed for such kind of close decision that could went into anybody’s favor. It was clearly shown in the repeat telecast that Carvalho tripped Morata fractionally outside the penalty area.

So it was a bit harsh decision that went against Monaco.
Throughout the 90 minutes of match, Juventus had control over the game and they had 64% ball possession. Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri was happy with his team’s result and he said it would be an advantage for his side when they’d be playing second leg match on 22 April against organized Monaco.
He said, “It was a good result. Not conceding a goal at home gives us a small advantage. Monaco are a very-well organised team.”
Arturo Vidal scored the first goal in Champions League after almost 18 months and it’s perfect time for him to hit a goal. Juventus didn’t enter in UCL semi-finals since 2003 and they will be desperate to get into semis this year. If they score one more goal at Stade Louis II, Monaco will need to score 3 goals to rule out Juventus from competition.
