The biggest match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 is all set to be played on Sunday, 4th June at Edgbaston when arch rivals India and Pakistan will be up against in Group-B match. Virat Kohli will be leading Indian team in the match meanwhile Pakistan to play under Sarfraz Ahmed’s captaincy.
This is going to be the absolute cracker of the game as two arch rivals will be taking on each other in their opening game of Mini World Cup 2017. India-Pakistan are playing after a long time against each other as both nations are not playing bilateral series due to political tensions. Hence two sides met only in International Cricket Council events like Champions Trophy, World Cup and ICC World Twenty20.
Last time these two teams faced off each other in the group match of ICC World T20 2016 in which India beat Pakistan comfortably. The last encounter between two nations in ICC Champions Trophy took place in 2013 when India defeated Men in Green on this same Edgbaston’s ground. Still Pakistan is leading the head to head to contest with 2-1 score in CT.
Sarfraz Ahmed and Virat Kohli have got big responsibilities as both players will be captaining respective teams in big ICC event for the first time. Champions Trophy 2017 will be first mega event for these two skippers and first match of the championship is the biggest game ever of the year. So it will be a big challenge for both players to lead the side and perform well.
Indian batting will definitely be depending on their key batsmen like Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh. Dhoni and Yuvraj will be together on the crease after so many years against Pakistan. These two love to bat against Pak and are crucial players for Men in Blue. On the other side, Pakistan bowlers Md. Amir, Wahab Riaz, Junaid Khan and Shadab Khan are key to restrict destructive Indian batting.

It would be good to bat first in a high pressure match but English conditions support fast bowlers in the starting moments of the match. Hence it will be interesting to watch out how teams and captains think about it, still we think winning the toss, team should bat first and put runs on the scoreboard in a high pressure game.
Birmingham’s Edgbaston pitch is a batsman supportive wicket and we can expect a high scoring match between India and Pakistan. It’s a 50-over match and we can hope for some big runs. The projected score at this ground is predicted to be 300 while team batting first.
Indian Cricket Team looks favorite against Pakistan in the 4th match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 on June 4 at Edgbaston. As per Sports Mirchi predictions, Men in Blue have got 60 percent winning chances over Men in Green on Sunday’s high voltage drama match.
