Paris Saint-Germain’s David Luiz has been ruled out from the upcoming quarter-final clash of UEFA Champions League 2014-15 season against Barcelona FC. Brazilian Luiz will be missing both legs of quarterfinal on 15 and 21 April, 2015 due to thigh injury.

David Luiz got thigh injury during PSG’s win over Marseille in Ligue last Sunday which led him not to play football for around one month. Hence he’ll not be a part of Paris Saint-Germain team in Champions League quarter-final against inform Barcelona.

Coach Laurent Blanc said, “David Luiz will be sidelined for four weeks and Thiago Motta for 10 days following their injuries against Marseille. It will take us time to deal with the injuries we have.

Nevertheless, we will play to win all our matches.”

Luiz is out from the quarter-finals which is a big blow for PSG but their worries are not over yet as their question marks over Serge Aurier, Lucas, Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The first leg of Paris Saint-Germain vs Barcelona quarter-final will be played on 15 April in Paris.
