Djokovic beat Nadal to set up Monte Carlo final against Berdych

World Champion Novak Djokovic has proved again why he is champion as he beat Rafael Nadal in the semi-final of Monte Carlo Rolex Masters to get into the final. Serbian Djokovic beat Rafael Nadal by 6-3, 6-3 to enter in the final of a tournament fifth time this year.

Though Spanish Nadal broke the first game but he couldn’t stand more against inform Serbia star and lost the match. Novak Djokovic will be facing Tomas Berdych in the final match on 19 April. After winning the match Djokovic said it was not easy to beat Rafael and it’s always been hard when it comes to hard clay. So it’s big win for him.

Djokovic beat Nadal to set up Monte Carlo final against Berdych.

He said, “I’m very happy with how I played against such a tough opponent. Rafa is the all-time best on the clay, it was not an easy match. I played well, it was a relief to get this win. There was a lot of tension, it was tough to keep it all under control.”

Novak also believes that it will not be easy to face Tomas Berdych in the final as he is doing good these days and playing good tennis. Djokovic said, “I know the final with Tomas will be a different kind of match, but I’ll do my best to recover and get ready.”

Tomas Berdych defeated Gael Monfils in the semifinal match by 6-1, 6-4 to reach at Monte Carlo Open final.
