Gurwinder Singh: we play best and aggressive to retain HIL title

Delhi Waveriders player Gurwinder Singh Chandi has said that Delhi team is ready to defend Hero hockey India league title. He said that we are preparing hard to win upcoming 2015 season of HIL, starting from 22 January.

“The main motive is nonetheless to play the best and retain our title,” Gurwinder Singh Chandi said in a quote on hockeyindia website.

Captain Sardar Singh has also mentioned Delhi Waveriders will be eying to retain hockey India league title. Gurwinder Singh also mentiones that he is working hard to improve his game and he’ll give his best for team to become champions once again.

“I have been working on my game for long and hard and will be using it to my team’s benefit in the approaching League,” he added.

Playing under Sardar Singh’s has helped Gurwinder Singh Chandi a lot and he’ll be looking forward to play more aggressive than before in 2015 Hockey India league. He is also benefitted from Jason Wilson and Simon Child who are international overseas forwards in the DWR squad.

“Under the captaincy of Sardar Singh – I, along with Akashdeep, Danish Mujtaba and Yuvraj Walmiki, will be looking forward to playing an attacking game and create maximum scoring opportunities for our side. I have picked up many tips from both Simon and Jason and am waiting to play again alongside them this season,” Chandi said.
