In the first match, Sardar Singh’s team was looking a bit outdated as their defence was not as good as it is used to on regular basis. Forwards were not able to finish the given opportunities and at times missed penalty corners as well. Captain Sardar Singh also accepts that Poland is a good side and team won’t be taking lightly in tomorrow’s clash.
He said, “Poland is a good team and if they are in the Semi-Final round that means they have some quality players in their team. We can’t afford to take them lightly at any moment as they are capable of turning matches in their favour. The defeat in Sydney Olympics is still fresh in many hockey players and we will not repeat the mistakes made in the match.”
