Indian football team probable 32-man squad has been announced for upcoming round-1 of Russia world cup qualifier beginning from 12 March. Coach Stephen Constantine declared Indian team for the first time after his appointment as coach. India to play their first round FIFA world cup 2018 qualification matches against neighbors Nepal.
There are two legs in the first round qualification process and India to play home and away matches against Nepal on 12 and 17 March. Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium in Guwahati to host Nepal on 12 March for the first home match of India.
Stephen Constantine said, “With the help of Savio Medeira and Venkatesh we first registered the list of 50 Players and then Venky and myself sat down to select 32 players for the Camp.”
“We hope to send a message to everybody who has an Indian nationality that they have a chance to play for the national team. I am really excited and looking forward to it. We won’t get everybody together in the camp at the same time. There’s a I-League match on March 4 and hopefully, everyone would assemble by the next day, i.e. March 5.”
