Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho is set to play for the national Under-20 team at 2015 FIFA world cup in New Zealand as his performance against Chelsea in the final of the Youth FA Cup at the Stamford Bridge, pleased the Manchester City U-18 management and they announced that he’ll be ready to be a part of Flying Eagles camp for U20 world cup.
A source told SL10.ng, “Kelechi Iheanacho had an ankle injury but he’s now fully fit.Both Manchester City and his management team decided that he should not undergo surgery, so Kelechi was disciplined to wear a cast.”
“With this game in the bag, expect him to join the Flying Eagles camp soon. He has shot down all rumours concerning his fitness. He showed everyone that he still has his sharpness, he is back,” he added.
Nigeria is in Group E of 2015 FIFA U20 world cup and will be facing Brazil, North Korea and Hungary in the initial stage of tournament.
