MI also purchased Sri-Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga for 2 crore rupees. Yuvraj and Malinga were the major highlights for Mumbai Indians during players auction.
However Barinder Singh Sran was the highest money maker in Mumbai squad from IPL 2019 players auction. Team management spent 3.4 Crore INR to purchase the bowler.
Inclusion of Yuvi in the side, gives Mumbai strong middle order. The fact is Yuvraj is a good striker of ball in the middle and at the end of overs meanwhile he can bowl 2-3 quick overs as well if required.
