New Zealand Squad announced for 2019 cricket world cup

ICC World Cup 2019 favorites and previous 2019 world cup’s runner up New Zealand board has declared an experienced 15-member squad for the upcoming gala event in England. Although Blackcaps made a surprising announcement as team included wicket-keeper batsman Tom Blundell.

Kane Williams will be leading New Zealand team at 2019 world cup which is kicking off on 30 May. Kiwi team to take on Sri Lanka in their opening match of tournament on 1st June. Blackcaps are currently at the third position in ICC ODI team rankings and if team manages to lift world cup, surely they’ll get top ranking too.

New Zealand coach Gary Stead has said that team has potential to become world cricket champions and the announced team is capable of making nation proud.

“We’ve got a squad here of 15 players that we think can give us a really, really good chance of going far into the tournament.

If we play close to our potential, then hopefully we can do New Zealand proud,” coach said while announcing the world cup team.
