Pakistan Cricket team has got big blow ahead of 2015 cricket world cup as their fast bowler Junaid Khan has been ruled out from the tournament. He has been facing thigh injury from past few weeks and today he has failed to prove his fitness to get fit before ICC world cup.

A PCB source said, “Junaid appeared in a fitness test and was not found fit enough to play the World Cup.”

Junaid Khan was also not picked for two ODI match series against New Zealand due to this injury. But it was expecting that he would get fit before 2015 world cup.

It didn’t happen and he has to miss cricket world’s mega this summer in Australia/New Zealand. He is also disappointed as he won’t be a part of Pakistan team now in the championship.

He has taken 75 wickets for Pakistan in 48 ODI matches.

Junaid said, “It’s a heartbreak for me. I couldn’t pass the fitness test and am not able to play the World Cup. All my prayers are with the team.”

Bilawal Bhatti replaced Junaid in PAK squad against New Zealand and it is expected that he’ll continue with Pakistan team in 2015 ICC world cup. Pakistan will play their opening match of 11th cricket world cup against arch rivals India on 15 February.
