Let’s analysis and preview Pakistan team batting line-up and bowling for world cup.
In the opening Ahmed Shehzad and Mohammad Hafeez will be there for Pakistan. Both players are n good touch as Hafeez and Shehzad scored fifties in previous ODI against New Zealand in Napier. So both batsmen have capability to score big runs for the side. They had 111 runs opening stand in that match.
Younis Khan will have responsibility to hold the innings if wickets fall early. He is the most experience player in Pakistan batting order as specialist batsman.
Captain Misbah-ul-haq, Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal will be having responsibility to handle pressure in the middle overs and maintain the momentum in match. Misbah will have to go with 6 batsmen including Afridi in it. The fact is new ODI rules will make harder for bowlers to stop runs. So every team needs to have 6 batsmen. In Pakistan side Afridi can bowl ten overs hence Misbah may think to add one more batsman in the line-up.

Five bowlers are must but as I discussed above, Pakistan has experienced all-rounder Shahid Afridi who can bowl 10 overs for team so we Pak can play with seven batsmen including Shahid. In four bowlers captain can go with 7 feet tall Mohammad Irfan, Wahab Riaz, Harris Shoail and Ehsan Adil. Obviously Afridi is the most experienced bowler in the side as he played 391 ODIs in which he took 393 wickets. So he’ll be leading bowling attack with Mohammad to lead pace battery.
