Roger Federer wins Inaugural Istanbul Open by defeating Cuevas

Roger Federer has 85th ATP World Tour title today by winning inaugural edition of Istanbul Open. Swiss star beat Pablo Cuevas by 6-3, 7-6(13-11) to win TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open 2015 season. this is Federer’s third title this year as he previously won Brisbane open and Dubai tennis open.

Turkey becomes 19th country in World number 2 Federer’s tennis career where he wins an ATP title. After winning the Istanbul crown Roger Federer said, “I can’t thank you enough! This was one of the best tournaments I have been to. I’ll see you soon I hope.”

Roger Federer won first set quite comfortably and he took just 33 minutes to win first set by 6-3. In the second set Cuevas started to put pressure on Federer and didn’t allow Swiss star to dominate the set. Though Federer won the set and match in the tie breaker but at one stage the second set went in the 10-10 brake point.

It was really a fantastic tournament for Federer as he got some good challenge on the court by players. On the speaking about upcoming future ATP events, Roger mentioned that he is not much focusing on the future tournaments and just want to enjoy the winning moment. He said, “Crazy week in a good way. I want to enjoy the title before heading to Madrid, not thinking about Paris yet.”

Federer will now take part in the Mutua Madrid Open which is begin undergo in the action.
