World Champion Serena Williams has won Miami Masters 2015 title by defeating Carla Suarez Navarro in the final match. This is the eighth occasion when American star has claimed Miami Open crown. 33 years old Williams took 56 minutes to beat Carla in the straight sets by 6-2, 6-0.
After winning Miami title, Serena said she feels great to win 8 titles under her belt and as she is getting older and older, her game is getting better and better. She said, “It feels really good to have eight under my belt. I’d like to believe the older I get, the better I get.”
Winning 8th title Serena mentioned that all her titles win are important and all are special ones. She said, “Each one is special. Some finals are long. Some finals have been shorter. But it doesn’t matter. At the end, each one is a lot of hard work. It’s just [about] standing there and being successful.”
Serena Williams praised Carla Suarez for her great performance in past few weeks. She congratulated her by saying, “Congratulations to Carla. She’s had a fabulous two weeks. This is just the beginning. I’m really proud of you – we always get along and it’s always great to see you do well, so congratulations.”
