In the second quarterfinal match of 2015 AFC Asian Cup, Socceroos have beaten China PR to reach in the semi-final game. Australian team played aggressive football throughout the 90 minutes of match. Socceroos star player and legend Tim Cahill hit two brilliant goals in the 2nd half of quarterfinal to take the team in the semifinal match to be played on 27 January at Newcastle Stadium.
Tim Cahill scored goals in 49th and 65th minutes. Cahill said, “It feels good. I was confident after the Korea game that we could bounce back, especially with the way we played. I’m proud of the boys, but most of all this is a big win for us. It’s something I knew deep down was going to happen before the game because I believe in this team and it showed in the end.”
Chill looked very happy after team’s win. He appreciated team mates for believing themselves. He said that we were practicing enough before this match to get combination right with each other.

Tim Cahill also mentioned that China team helped him too to score the goals as in the second half they didn’t take him seriously and let him do the damage.
He said, “I really encourage the boys to cross the ball into good areas. We were practicing before the game and if you put it in the right spot then I know I’m going to get good contact. A lot of credit has to go to China. In the first half they had me wrapped up, I couldn’t move, they were holding me but I had to wait for my chance and I took two of them tonight out of three and I’m pretty happy.”
