Chris Morris is included in 15-member South Africa squad for the first test of Freedom test series 2018 against India. The first test match of 3-match series is scheduled to play from January 5 in Cape Town and regular skipper Faf Du Plessis is returned to the side as he missed Zimbabwe test due to health concerns.
Cricket South Africa made just one change to the Proteas squad that played one-off test against Zimbabwe. Duanne Olivier is replaced by fast bowler Morris. Captain Du Plessis and pacer Dale Steyn have been facing viral infection but these two are expected to get fit before the start of Cape Town test.
The South African team looks quite impressive as their batting and bowling units have got fire-power. Amla, De Villiers, Du Plessi, De Kock are the key batsmen in SA squad. Meanwhile Dale Steyn, Chris Morris, Morkel, Rabada and Maharaj are going to be strike bowlers in the Proteas bowling lineup.
Proteas team has become more dangerous with the return of their top class players like Steyn, Du Plessis and De Villiers. It will be exciting to see how South Africa kicks off their summer and new year on the cricket field against a tough opposition like India.
