Sri Lanka recall Kulasekera, Malinga in ODI squad against NZ

Sri Lanka Cricket Board has declared expected squad for upcoming cricket world cup as board named 16 players team for the One Day International series against New Zealand. Pace bowler Lasith Malings is making comeback in the Sri Lankan squad after facing ankle injury. Nuwan Kulasekara also recalled in the SL team for the seven ODIs.

Nuwan Kulasekera and Lasith Malinga included in Sri Lanka ODI squad against New Zealand.

Nuwan Kulasekera was dropped in the home ODI series against England in November. Malinga’s availability will be depending on his fitness. Coach Marvan Atapattu had already indicated that Malinga will be returning in the One Day squad for the last two ODIs against Kiwi team.

Angelo Mathews will be leading Sri Lankan team in the ODI series and hopefully in the 2015 world cup too. The first One Day International match will be played on 11 January at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
