Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) have revealed the 15-member squad for upcoming ICC World Cup 2019 in England & Wales. Dimuth Karunaratne will be leading Sri-Lankan team at CWC19. Board appointed Karunaratne as the captain of side yesterday which shocked the entire cricket world.

Sri-Lanka to play their opening match of competition against New Zealand on 1st June at Cardiff Wales Stadium. Upul Tharanga, Dinesh Chandimal, Niroshan Dickwella and Akila Dananjaya are excluded from the squad and these were shocking omissions from SL side. Milinda Siriwardana, Avishka Fernando, Jeevan Mendis and Vandersay got an opportunity to respresent country at the biggest stage of cricket as these were not in the race to be selected.
