West Indies beat UAE to seal berth in ICC CWC Quarter-Finals 2015

West Indies cricket team has defeated United Arab Emirates in match-41 of cricket world cup 2015 to make through quarter-final. Caribbean team won by 6 wickets in their last pool match of tournament played at Napier, New Zealand. Captain Jason Holder was declared Man of the match for his 4 wickets in UAE innings.

Winning the toss West Indies chose to bowl first and their decision was totally proven correct by bowlers as they bowled out top 6 batsmen in 14 overs when UAE total was just 46 runs. After this Amjad Javed and Nasir Aziz built 107 runs partnership for United Arab Emirates that led team’s total past 150. Both batsmen completed their respective fifties but they failed to play full 50 overs. UAE team all out in 48th over after scoring 175.

West Indies chased down 176 runs target in 31st over. Johnson Charles and Jonathan Carter hit their respective half-centuries to guide Caribbean team towards victory. Jason Holder was named Player of the match for his brillain 4 wickets. West Indies will play New Zealand in the quarterfinals.
