Zimbabwe to tour Pakistan for bilateral Cricket series in May

Zimbabwe Cricket Board has confirmed that national side will be traveling to Pakistan for bilateral series between two nations. This is the first occasion when an ICC full member will tour to Pakistan after 2009 attacks on Sri Lankan Cricket Team in Lahore during a test match. All Pakistan vs Zimbabwe series matches will be held in Lahore.

Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Wilson Manase said, “I can confirm that @ZimCricketv will tour @TheRealPCB in May.

We have taken cognisance of all the factors for us to arrive at this decision, so let’s not be alarmist about the situation in Pakistan.”

Zimbabwe to tour Pakistan for bilateral Cricket series in May.

Pakistan Cricket Board declared on micro blogging site Twitter that Zimbabwe will play two Twenty20 Internationals and Three One-Day International matches on 10 days tour. Zimbabwean team will arrive in Pakistan on 19 May and they’ll play first T20 on 22 followed by second on 24. ODI matches are scheduled for 26, 29 and 31 May, 2015.

Pakistan national team will be touring to Zimbabwe in the month of August as per the contract signed between two cricket boards.

Zimbabwe Cricket’s managing director Alistair Campbell also confirmed on twitter account that Zimbabwean side will travel Pakistan to play bilateral series whereas Pakistan will also tour in the month of August to Zimbabwe. He said, “We are touring Pakistan as a measure of establishing bilateral relations between us and them. They will also come to Zimbabwe in August.”
