Cricket Australia is eager to host Indian team for a four-test matches series later this year. CA chief executive Kevin Roberts has said in a latest interview to News Corp that he’d give 9 out 10 to organize bilateral series between two nations.

“I guess there’s no such thing as certainty in today’s world so I can’t say 10 (out of 10), but I’m going to say nine out of 10,” Kevin said.

Kevin didn’t make any comment whether fans would be able to come stadiums and watch the live cricket match. He said time would heal everything but we have to make efforts to get things back on the track.

“With the variable being, who would know whether we can have crowds … I’d be really surprised if we can’t get the Indian tour away. But I wouldn’t, hand on heart suggest we’ll have full crowds from the start. We’ll just have to see how that goes,” he added.

The safety and security arrangement would be a major concern for CA as players would definitely follow the guidelines issued by Government and respective health authorities. Australia board head also mentioned that they’ll closely monitor how England treats with West Indies and Pakistan players.

“I think there’s some chance we could send a team over. Obviously we won’t jeopardise the safety of the players, but the best test of that is that the West Indian and Pakistan tours of England before we’re due to tour. We hope they go off without a hitch,” CA head said.

Indian cricket team is scheduled to tour Australia for 4 tests between October and January 2021. T20 World Cup scheduled for October-November, is set to be postponed and expected that it would be played in 2022.
