Brendan Taylor smashed his 8th ODI hundred in farewell match

Zimbabwe Cricket Team captain Brendan Taylor scored century in his last One-Day International game of career against India in 2015 cricket world cup. This was Taylor’s eighth ODI hundred and first versus Indian team. He made 138 runs in 110 balls before dismissed by Mohit Sharma. He had announced retirement from One Day cricket before entering into this game.

Brendan Taylor represented Zimbabwe in 167 ODIs match in which he scored 5258 runs. His highest score is 145 not out. Taylor came to bat when Zimbabwean side was in trouble as after losing toss, they lost both openers on the score of 13 in fifth over. Solomone More also got out after making just 9 runs. After this Taylor and Sean Williams built 92 runs partnership for fourth wicket. Williams made 50 in 58 balls with 3 fours and three sixes.

Taylor hit excellent century in just 99 balls. Scoring this ton he becomes highest hundreds scorer for Zimbabwe. After making hundred he went after the Indian bowling, especially Ravindra Jadeja. In Jadeja’s one over he slammed 25 runs.

Brendan Taylor hit 15 boundaries and 5 sixes in his 138 runs inning. With this inning, Zimbabwe managed to put 287 runs before getting all out.

Indian players also congratulated Brendan Taylor while he was returning to pavilion. Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and other players also clapped and congratulated him.
