They have one of the most exciting talents on show in the league. The Coach of the team Mickey Arthur is one of the best in the business and is assisted by Junior Bennett. Courtney Walsh is the bowling coach of the Tallawahs.

They play their home games in the Sabina Park Kingston Stadium in Jamaica. It can take close to 16,000 people for a game. They play their first game on the 23rd of June away from Jamaica against the Barbados Tridents.

The maverick hard hitter Chris Gayle will lead his home team in this season and will induce every bit of aggression he shows in his batting into the team. The Tallawahs have some very smart cricketers and will want to prove that they are a great side in this season of the CPL.

Squad

Retained players –

Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Jerome Taylor, Chadwick Walton

Picked up in the draft –

Mahela Jayawardene, Chris Lynn, Daniel Vettori, Nikita Miller, Krishmar Santokie, Rusty Theron, Narsingh Deonarine, David Bernard jr., Nkrumah Bonner, Jermaine Blackwood, Horace Miller.

Strengths

The Jamaica Tallawahs as a team have some match winners in their squad. They also have players with heaps of international experience that may make the difference in close games. The foreign contingent bears a very confident and experienced look and gives the team a lot of stability.

The likes of Gayle, Jayawardane and Vettori along with Russel and Taylor will make the team a very strong unit. They have loads of experience in between them and have a sense of team unity with the kind of players involved. Combinations like Gale and Jayawardane, Vettori and Russel make it a very unique team.

Weaknesses

The Tallawahs have a long list of local players who have proven themselves in the domestic arena. But not many have a great deal of international experience and this might put a lot of pressure on the few players in the team that have played a lot.

Players like David Bernard, Horace Miller, Nkrumah Bonner, are very talented but have very less experience on the biggest stage and might fail to impress when the time comes. This makes the team a bit weak from the outside but it still has enough fire power to challenge one of the best teams in league.

A lot of players in the team can win matches on their day and the fans of the team will be praying for a consistent performance from some if not all of those players.
