New Zealand cricket team has beaten Sri Lanka in the second and final test match of 2014-15 Sri Lanka’s tour of New Zealand series. Kiwi team won the Wellington test by 193 runs on the day-5 at Basin Reserve. Kane Williamson was declared man of the match for his brilliant doubly century on day-4 of the test match.

On the last of match, Sri Lanka were required 345 runs to win the match with 9 wickets remaining. Night watchman Dhammika Prasad was the first dismissal of day. SL lost 2^nd wicket on 51 score. Now its turn for first inning hero Kumar Sangakkara to join Kaushal Silva and built partnership to take Sri Lankan team at safe position. New batsman to the crease Thirimanne started to build partnership with Silva but failed to do it as Silva got out just after completing his fifty.
