Pakistani cricketer Zafar Sarfraz dies due to Coronavirus

First professional cricketer from Pakistan is found to be died to affect of coronavirus pandemic. PCB confirmed first class cricketer Zafar Sarfraz’s death via social networking site twitter on Tuesday 14th April 2020. Zafar was admitted in a private hospital at Peshawar from three days.

50-year old Zafar Sarfraz made debut in 1988 and was played as a middle order left handed batsman for Peshawar. He appeared in 15 first class matches in which he scored 616 runs. He retired from cricket in 1994 after appearing in 6 One-Day matches for Peshawar.

As per local reports a total of 5000 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the country and 96 people have lost life due to the pandemic. Pakistani great Squash player Azam Khan also died due to novel coronavirus last month as he took last breathe in a hospital at London.
