The ninth edition of the Rugby World Cup will be taking place between September and November this year. It is being held in Japan, which will be the first time the tournament has taken place in Asia. This will cap off a memorable year for sport with the Athletic World Championships and Cricket World Cup also taking place.

They have long been a dominant side in the sport, so will also be expected to challenge to the latter stages of the competition. 4. Wales

Wales reached the quarter-final stages back in 2015, so will be hopeful of progressing further this time around. Wales have been drawn in Pool D against Australia, Georgia, Fiji and Uruguay.

5. South Africa

The final side worth a mention are South Africa, who can be supported at 8/1 for the title. They are the current fifth ranked side in the world and have won the competition on two occasions, so will again be hopeful of success in Japan later this year. They have been drawn in Pool B and will face off against New Zealand, Italy, Namibia and Canada.
