Kusal Perera made excellent 153 runs in 200 balls to seal 1-wicket victory over South Africa. Sri Lanka was chasing a big target of 304 runs and team lost 9 wickets on 226 runs. The last pair on the crease made valuable 78 runs to give visitors 1-0 lead and Perera’s inning is termed as the best test innings of the decade. He was awarded Man Of The Match for this match winning knock.

After team lost 4 wickets in just 20 runs session and SL required another 78 runs to win the match with just one wicket in hand. Sri-Lankan fans could see the defeat is near but thanks to Vishwa Fenando who stood tall and spent 73 minutes on the crease to help Kusal playing his innings and lead team towards victory.
