India’s legendary cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has announced retirement from international cricket on 15th August 2020. 2011 ODI world cup and 2007 t20 world cup winning captain chose Independence Day to reveal that he’ll no longer wear Blue jersey for team India though he’ll be playing in IPL.

“Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired,” MSD quoted on Instagram.

MS Dhoni announced his retirement on Instagram and following that his friend and team mate Suresh Raina also declared that he’d not be playing for India again and he says BYE with MSD.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly was all in high praise for legendary cricketer Dhoni who was exceptional for Men in Blue as a leader. Dhoni debut in 2004 under Ganguly’s captaincy and Dada had great influence to bring MSD in the side and was in full favor to now retired star.

“It is the end of an era. What a player he has been for the country and world cricket. His leadership qualities have been something, which will be hard to match, especially in the shorter format of the game,” Ganguly said.

“His batting in one-day cricket in his early stages made the world stand up and notice his flair and sheer natural brilliance. Every good thing comes to an end and this has been an absolutely brilliant one.
