South America’s prestigious football event Copa America is set for it’s 47th edition as Brazil will be hosting the event for successive time. Originally Argentina and Colombia were about to host the 2021 tournament but due to Covid-19 pandemic, both of them were scrapped. Copa America 2021 is scheduled to play from 13th June to 10th July across 5 venues and title defenders Brazil to meet Venezuela in the opening game at Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha in Brasilia.
10 national football teams are competing in the 2021 Copa America and Brazil is the title defending champion as they won their ninth title in 2019.

Originally tournament was scheduled to be played in 2020 but due to COVID-19 pandemic, it gets postponed. Australia and Qatar were invited to participate in the event to make it 12-team tournament but due to World Cup qualifiers, both teams denied to be part of the championship.

It will not be easy for Argentina to claim trophy now. The level of skills and enthusiasm for game in new players is not showing a good future for Argentine side. Not only for the Copa America event but for FIFA world cup as well.
