Cahill out from Australia vs Germany Clash on 25 March 2015

Australian football team vital part Tim Cahill will not be a part of national side in upcoming friendly matches against world champion Germany and Georgia. Cahill has been facing issues with Achilles tendon and he will under go rehab for few weeks to get fit.

Tim Cahill has been playing in Chinese Super League this year and representing Shanghai Greenland Shenhua. Oliver Bozanic will replace 35-years old Cahil in Socceroos squad for international match against Germany and Georgia.

A Football Federation Australia spokesman said, “Cahill has had a minor ongoing issue with his Achilles tendon and following today’s club match for Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC, Socceroos staff decided it was best for Cahill to undergo rehab in China.

Australia head coach Ange Postecoglou will be having one more problem in the squad as Matthew Spiranovic is also ruled out from these friendly games due to hamstring injury. Bailey Wright will replace Spiranovic.
