With this victory, Pakistan have broken their losing streak in the ODIs as they came into this game after losing 11 One-Day internationals in a row. England captain Eoin Morgan won toss and put 1992 world cup winners onto the bat. Pakistani batsmen took slow and steady start as in previous game, whole team got all out on 105 versus West Indies.

Mohammad Hafeez, Babar Azam and Sarfraz Ahmed scored half centuries for Men In Green in this crucial match. Hafeez was later on awarded Man of The Match trophy for excellent 84 runs innings in 62 balls. Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes took 3-3 wickets each for English side.

England had to chase 349 in 50 overs to maintain their winning momentum but unfortunately they couldn’t. Root and Buttler scored brilliant hundreds but couldn’t win the game for England. Fantastic bowling by Wahab Riaz and Mohammed Amir that helped Pakistan to win the match. Wahab took 3 wickets meanwhile Amir dismissed two English batsmen.

So Pakistan have stunned the world cricket once again as nobody was expecting them to win today as England were in top form and Men In Green were coming into the match by losing very badly against West Indies in the opening match of world cup. Even Pak lost warmup match against Afghanistan. Hence it’s a brilliant win for them and it would be interesting to see how they will play in the upcoming matches of tournament.
