On Friday 25 September 2015, FIFA has confirmed that 22nd edition of football world cup be held in November-December month in Qatar. It will be first occasion when a FIFA World cup will not be played in summer. Tournament will be played from 21 November to 18 December.

In March, FIFA announced that 2022 world cup will be played in winter season to avoid the extreme heat and summer season of Qatar. It will be a 28 day world cup which is shorter than previous tournaments in the history.

The opening match of Qatar world cup will be played on 21 November, 2022 which means all the European clubs have to release all participating 32 teams players till 14 November.

Now there is no problem regarding weather in the organization of soccer’s prestigious event but FIFA will surely in concern with the European league. November-December is a peak time for popular leagues like La Liga, Premier League, Series A and more. It will be interesting to see in future how the European clubs and committee react on this.

But before 2022 we have got to watch FIFA World Cup 2018 which will be played in Russia.
