FIFA has declared the dates of women’s world cup trophy tour to 12 Canadian cities ahead 2 months of tournament beginning. FIFA organization’s official partner Coca Cola will launch tour on 1 April in Ottawa. The trophy to travel place to place in twelve different cities of Canada and it will be free to public. May 31 will be the last day of FIFA Women’s world cup trophy tour.
The tour will promote women’s football in the country will support national side to win it. Canada women’s coach John Herdman said, This trophy tour will be the rallying cry for our team leading up to the tournament in June. As the Trophy makes its way across Canada, and we see the support and pride that Canadians have for the game and our team, it will push us even harder.
Coca-Cola Vice President of the Sparkling Business Unit Michael Samoszewski was delighted to explain that brand would be feeling proud when tour starts. This is the first occasion when a women’s FIFA world cup trophy is on tour.
He said, “Coca-Cola is proud to be presenting the first-ever FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour, bringing Canadians a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get see this magnificent trophy up-close. We are excited to share in Canada’s passion for soccer and uniting Canadians from coast-to-coast at our Trophy Tour experience.”
Thierry Weil, FIFA Marketing Director also mentioned in this occasion that Canada fans and supporters will be having great opportunity to get close with world cup trophy before tournament begins. He was glad to receive support from Coca Cola in the promotion of game.
