Mahmudullah hit maiden ton for Bangladesh in cricket world cup

Bangladeshi cricketer Mahmudullah has become the first Bangladesh player to score century in cricket world cup. Bangladesh has been appearing in cricket’s mega event since 1999 tournament but no-one could reach to the individual hundred. Mahmudullah scored 103 runs in 138 balls against England in 33rd match of ICC world cup 2015 played at Adelaide Oval.

Mahmudullah came to bat when Bangladesh was in bad situation and English bowling was on top as James Anderson took two wickets in his consecutive two overs. Bangladesh was in trouble at 8/2 in 3rd over. Mahmudullah and Sarkar built a partnership of 86 runs for the third wicket. Mahmudullah took 69 balls to complete fifty in the crucial game.

After losing Sarkar on 94 and Shakib on 99 score, Mahmudullah built partnership with Mushfiqur Rahim for fifth wicket and both batmen added 139 runs. Mahmudullah completed his hundred in 138 balls including seven fours and 2 big sixes. Chris Woakes run out him on 103. With this inning, Bangladesh put 275 runs on board in 50 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Mahmudullah was declared Man of the Match for this inning.
