Maria Sharapova qualifies for fourth Australian Open Final

World No 2 tennis women’s single player Maria Sharapova has qualified for the final of Australian Open 2015. She beats Ekaterina Makarova in the semi-final match played today at Melbourne to enter in Australian Open 4th time in her career. Sharapova defeats Makarova by 6-3, 6-2 in the first semifinal of 2015 aus open.

Maria Sharapova will now face either Serena Williams or Madison Keys in the final. In the first set the Russian star Maria was leading by 4-1 but suddenly she had got problems with serving and did 7 double faults. Makarova played well and took the game at 4-3 in first set but she failed to win it. Sharapova beat her in the 1st set by 6-3.

In the second set world no. 2 ranking Maria didn’t allow Makarova to dominate and wins the set by 6-2. After completion of match Sharapova said, “Like every athlete you question when ur going to be back, how & at what level. Just hoped one day I wld experience it again.”

Sharapova was happy after reaching into the Australian open final for the fourth time. She said, “it’s been a strange road to the final but I’m happy to be here.”

After placing her 10th grand slam berth Sharapova said, “Came from behind in a few, really behind in one — saving match points. I felt like I was given a second chance. I just wanted to take my chances.”

Maris Sharapova is eager to win the Australian Open grand slam and she doesn’t care who’ll be against her. She said, “My confidence should be high going into the final of a Slam, no matter who I face, even if I have a terrible record or not.”
