Valdes seeks United exit

Victor Valdes is looking for a move out of England after Turkish club Antalyspor confirmed that the goalkeeper has been in talks with the newly promoted club. “We are in talks with Victor Valdes”, Antalyspor press officer Hasan Ali Ceylan told Eurospor TR.

The club has been splashing the cash and has already signed Samuel Eto’o and Ronaldinho, former teammates of Valdes at Barcelona.

Given and Van Ginkel sign for Stoke City

The Northern Ireland goalkeeper has signed a two-year contract and becomes the second signing at Stoke after they had earlier signed Marco Van Ginkel on loan from Chelsea. Given was a free agent after being released by Aston Villa and was close to joining Middlesbrough but Stoke moved quickly to bring him to Britannia Stadium.

Van Gaal confirms Darmian move

Louis Van Gaal put an end to rumours that Matteo Darmian is heading to Manchester after he confirmed that the Torino full back is scheduled for a medical at Carrington. Darmian has been United’s choice ever since the manager refused to go ahead with the move for England full back Nathaniel Clyne. Van Gaal was speaking at the unveiling of Memphis Depay who was signed for £25m earlier in the summer.

Shaqiri to move back to Germany

Reports have emerged in Italy that Inter Milan player Xherdan Shaqiri has agreed personal terms with Schalke and would be moving back to Germany. The former Bayern Munich winger was a subjected of interest for clubs across Europe and was expected to sign for Stoke City but opted to move back to Bundesliga.

Schweinsteiger agrees United move

Bild has reported that the Bayern star will join Manchester United on a three-year contract and will be earning a whopping €10m per season at Old Trafford. The fee for the transfer of the World-Cup winning midfielder is agreed at €20m between both the clubs. United have been keeping tabs on him ever since Louis Van Gaal publicly stated his need for a defensive midfielder.

Palace unveil Cabaye

Crystal Palace have been making news in the transfer market and made a big statement with the signing of French international Yohan Cabaye. Cabaye underwent medical following his £12.8m move from Paris Saint Germain. The player was looking for a move to England after being on the sidelines at PSG and agreed to move to Palace for regular playing time and a reunion with his former manager.

City bid £44m for Sterling

Manchester City has put in a £40mllion, plus £4m in add-ons in order to bring the 20-year old sensation to Etihad but Liverpool are adamant of not leaving him go for anything less than £50m. Liverpool owners are unhappy with the way Sterling has skipped training and attacked manager Brendan Rodgers in the media and are mulling to take action on Sterling if he doesn’t turn up for training in the next couple of days.
