South Africa beat Zimbabwe by 62 runs in ICC world cup 2015

South Africa Cricket team has started 2015 world cup campaign with a big win in their first match against Zimbabwe. Proteas defeats Zimbabwe by 62 runs in the third game of ICC world cup this year played here at Hamilton.

SA batting hero David Miller was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant 138 runs in 92 balls.

South Africa won by 62 runs against Zimbabwe in 2015 cricket world cup.

After losing toss South Africa team were struggling at one stage when they lost 4 top order batsmen on 83 score in 21st over. After this David Miller and JP Duminy took responsibility on their shoulders and built a record partnership of 256 runs for fifth wicket to take team’s total over 300. MDuminy made 115 and both players returned unbeaten to pavilion.

In the chase of 340 target, Zimbabwe didn’t get good start and lost Raza on 32 score in 7th over.  After this Chibhabha and Masakadza built 105 runs partnership for second wicket and kept ZIM hopes alive to surprise Proteas in the match. But Chibhabha’s wicket in 24th over changed things for SA. He made brilliant 64 in 82 balls.

Zimbabwe Captain Brandon Taylor and Masakadza tried to build innings and they succeed a bit but couldn’t finish the things. Hamilton Masakadza scored excellent 80 runs in 74 balls. After his dismissal no other batsman could hold the inning and whole team got all out in 48.2 overs on 277 score. South Africa won comfortable by 62 runs. Imran Tahir took 3 wickets for Proteas.
