Hussey believes Indian bowling is better than 2011 world cup

Former Australia cricketer Michael Hussey has said that Indian bowling attack is much better in 2015 world cup than it was in 2011 tournament. Hussey says that team India has got good bowlers in their world cup squad but they have to bowl at their potential. He says there is a thin line difference between being a good bowler and bowling good.

Michael Hussey says Indian Bowling strong in 2015 world cup than 2011 cwc.

He said, “I dare say that this Indian attack looks better than the one in 2011 and they are all good bowlers individually. But there is a difference between being a good bowler and bowling good. And they have bowled poorly, lacking in discipline throughout the series. However I also do believe that this series will serve as great exposure for them and they can learn a lot from this tour for the future.”

Michael Hussey believes that bowlers will comeback and make strong impact in upcoming tri-series and 2015 world cup. He says that Indian team becomes more dangerous in short formats of cricket, especially in 50 over game. In his views India has got the advantage to be here in Australia before 2-3 months of world cup to start and it will benefit them in the upcoming 2015 cricket world cup starting from 14 Feb. So nobody should underestimate the defending champions in cwc15.

Hussey said, “The big positive for India is that they have already been in Australia for the last two months. They are now well versed with the conditions here, the pace and bounce of pitches. They also have a tri-series coming up involving England.

So they have a good run before the World Cup starts and nobody should underestimate them because of the Test results.”

“Don’t read too much into the 2-0 scoreline because not only did India compete hard in the Test series but they are a completely different outfit in limited-overs. They are very confident in that mode,” he added.

On Indian team’s batting lineup Australia’s Mr. Perfect has said that they have great batting order. Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane are good at the top of the order and MS Dhoni in the lower is a big challenge for bowlers to bowl at the depth. He said, “Well the batting has completely changed and they have done well. Virat Kohli is a fantastic player and he has just scored runs by the heaps. I think this will continue for him going forward.”

“But then there have been others too, like Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane, giving support to Kohli. Something like that was missing in the 2011 tour. Not to mention they have been able to unearth a talent like KL Rahul. It is quite an achievement for a youngster to come to Australia and get a maiden Test ton.”

Indian team to start world cup title defending campaign against arch rivals Pakistan on 15 Feb whereas they’ll play first game of triangular series against Australia on 18 January.
