CSK beat RCB to meet MI in Pepsi IPL 2015 Final on 24 May.

From the beginning of match, MS Dhoni’s luck was with him and he chose to bowl first on this spin friendly bowling track. Royal Challengers Bangalore were so much depending on opening pair Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli but these 2 were failed to provide solid start to side. It was a very slow start on this bowling pitch and RCB lost Kohli in the 5th over when team’s total was 23. Ashish Nehra didn’t stop after Kohli’s wicket and took big wicket of AB De Villiers in the same over to push Bangalore on 25/2 in 5 overs.

There were lots hopes from previous match hero Mandeep Singh but Chennai’s spin magician Ravi Ashwin dismissed Mandeep in the 8th over. Now it’s turn for Dinesh Karthik to show his worth that Bangalore franchise paid to him. Gayle and Karthik built a partnership of 44 runs.

Chris Gayle was dismissed in the 14th over and he made 41 runs in 43 balls.

Some good hitting and sensible batting from Sarfaraz Khan at the end of innings, helped Royal Challengers Bangalore to put 139 runs in 20 overs. Obviously RCB was short of 15-20 runs on this batting testing pitch which proved right at the CSK innings. If Bangalore succeed to add 15-20 more in their total it could be different story in the match.

In the chase of 140, CSK lost Dwayne Smith early in the match. He made 17 in 12 balls. Faf Du Plessis and Michael Hussey were batting sensibly but it was really bad fielding performance from RCB that caused them match. They dropped Hussey and Du Plessis in the early stage of their innings. Hussey made 56 in 46 balls to lead CSK towards victory.

The match was in crucial stage and it could go either way but Dhoni and Hussey contributed valuable runs to the score of Chennai. just before 1 ball in the completion of 20 overs, Ashwin scored the winning run for Chennai Super Kings and team reached to the final. Ashish Nehra was awarded Man of The Match for his brilliant bowling figures of 4-0-28-3.
