Roger Federer out from 2015 Australian Open as Andreas Seppi defeated him in third round.

Roger Federer’s dream of winning 18th Grand Slam was broken today at Melbourne Park. Italian player Andreas Seppi beat Roger for the first time ever in his career and he was very pleased after winning against Federer. He said, “It was one of the best matches (of my career) for sure – I won against Roger.”

Seppi now advances to the fourth-round of Australian Open 2015. He said he was enjoying the game and he was focused on serving the best as it is not easy to handle Federer in the court. Andreas Seppi said, “I just tried to enjoy playing on the centre court. It’s not often I get the chance. It’s never comfortable playing against Roger … I was focused on my service games because I didn’t have many chances on his serve.”

This is the first occasion when Roger Federer failed to qualify in the 4th round of tournament. This is his earliest exit from Australian Open in last 12 years. Seppi and Roger met 10 times before this occasion and Andreas managed to win only one set against Federer.
