Mitchell Johnson hasn’t been in sparkling form and he must have to bowl well today if Punjab wants to beat strong home team Chennai Super Kings. On this spin supporting Chepauk wicket Axar Patel has to do some magic to take big guns of CSK including Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Smith, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni.

The destructive openers of Chennai Super Kings are in terrific form and providing excellent starts throughout the season. Hence it will be an interesting battle to see how Punjab bowlers stop such batsmen to score the runs. Middle order batsman Suresh Raina wasn’t in too good touch but in the last match he showed why he is a champion guy in the shorter format of game. So he is in great form as well.

Purple cap holder Ashish Nehra will be bowling his former team mate Virender Sehwag tonight which will be an interesting clash to watch. The only concern for CSK is their spinners Jadeja and Ashwin are not bowling so well as they neither stopping runs nor taking wickets. Chennai Super Kings Coach Stephen Fleming still believes in Ashwin and Jadeja are key bowlers for them on home ground.

He said, “In our home games Ashwin has been our lead bowler. It is not that he is in bad form. Jadeja is someone we would like more from and we are working hard at it.”

Predictions

Chennai Super Kings are favorites to win tonight and as per Sports Mirchi predictions they have 53 percent chances over Kings XI Punjab.

CSK vs KXIP match will start at 8:00 PM IST on Sony Max. Whom you’ll support tonight Chennai or Punjab?
