Djokovic eyeing to break Federer's Grand Slams Record.

Current World Number 1 Novak Djokovic is targeting the Grand Slam record set by former no. 1 star Roger Federer. After crushing Martin Klizan by 6-2, 6-1 at Shanghai Masters, Djokovic said that he would be trying hard to break the 17 Grand Slams record of Federer in near future.

Roger Federer has won 17 grand slams till date and he may add more titles next year. Currently Roger is not in great form and recently he was knocked out in the second round of Shanghai Masters. On the other hand  Serbia’s Novak Djokovic clinched his 10th Grand Slam title at US Open by beating Federer in the final. World no.1 is also forwarded to the next round at Shanghai Masters.

Djokovic said, “Nothing is impossible. I have that kind of mindset. I know that it’s still a long way to break his record. But people even mentioning and talking about it, obviously it flatters me. I’m honoured to have such compliments.”

Serbian professional mentioned that people’s praises and compliments always boost his confidence. He said, “But, you know, it’s one of the things that motivates me to keep going, of course. I love this sport. I feel like there are many more years in front of me.”

Both Roger and Novak have got tremendous rivalry. They have got equal wins against each other and it shows how much both players compliment each other.

“Hopefully if I’m able to sustain this level of dedication and level of performance, the way I play tennis, I think I have a good chance to compete for the trophy on any Grand Slam in the future,” Three Grand Slam winner of 2015 year said.
