England women’s football team head coach Mark Sampson declared his 23-women for FIFA world cup 2015 starting next month. Defender Steph Houghton will be leading English women throughout the competition. Manager Sampson is confident about the side and he hopes that team will perform better in the world cup and will be looking to bag world cup trophy.
Mark Sampson said, “This is a hugely exciting time for all the staff and players. We’re ranked sixth in the world, we are a good team and we’ve got some exceptional players. We’ve got a very compact, resolute unit and we’ve got a real togetherness in the group so we’ll certainly be a difficult opponent for anyone in Canada.”
He has addressed players to treat every match like they are playing the final. Mark said, “The ambition is to go to Canada and win the competition but we’ve got to treat every game like a final.”
